Babérliget Guesthouse is located in Somogy County, a 25-minute drive from Balatonlelle. Surrounded by lavender bushes, fruit trees and grapevines, the 900-square metre Provence style guesthouse lies among the Somogy hills. The one-time mansion of the noble Békeffy family was built in the second half of the 1800s.
Beautiful chestnut trees line the path leading from the building to the garden, forming a shady alley between the house and the inner garden, where visitors can enjoy a pleasant walk among typical Mediterranean plants, herbs and flowers. The eclectic and robust furniture gives the rooms an antique feel – many of the pieces could qualify as works of art.
The upper storey holds a spacious community area and a light yoga room overlooking the garden. This accommodation is ideal for people seeking tranquillity, but the guesthouse is a popular weekend getaway spot for groups of friends as well.
