Sights & Culture - Museums & Exhibition halls

The House of the Bakony Forests in Bakonybél houses a nature conservation and forestry collection. The exhibition located on the ground floor of the one-time farm building showcases the geological history, the main rocks and minerals and interesting geological formations of the Bakony. Find out more about the job of the rangers, hunters and woodcarvers living and working in the forest in the room on the first floor. An atmospheric diorama of Bakony wildlife is on display here as well, together with naïve painter Pál Dani’s paintings of the romantic old Bakony landscape. An exhibition on the oeuvre of forest steward Jenő Dobó from Farkasgyepű can also be found here.
