The most interesting sights of Kis-Balaton are on Kányavári Island while the rest are on Diás Island. A truly unique fauna evolved in the marshy, swampy area, which we can explore on the Great Crested Grebe Study Trail. We can rest at the park next to the newly built Great Lookoutand Small Lookout after the walk, where a playground and a water block was also constructed. Thanks to the Balaton Uplands National Park, we can also take part in guided tours in the area; however, the island is worth a visit alone, too, since unlike Diás Island, it can be visited without a coach.
Tip: There’s a road sign indicating the trail to Kányavári Island along the road that connects Balatonmagyaród and Sármellék.
