Töreki Conservation Area

Sights & Culture - Sights

Situated on the western outskirts of Siófok, amid the loess hills that emerged after the recession of the Pannonian Sea, Töreki Conservation Area is sprawled over an area of 300 hectares in a valley running perpendicularly to the length of Lake Balaton. Cinege Creek is one of the area’s main attractions, being the only natural stream flowing into Balaton in the vicinity of Siófok. The varied landscape is home to a number of species, which are showcased at the 12 stops of Töreki Lakes Study Trail. Even though the pond is located really close to Balaton, it’s far away enough to provide peace and quite to anglers and holidaymakers even at the peak of the summer season.
