Located in Lesencetomaj, Aklan Winery started operating in 1988, but the charming cellar only opened in 2012. The herbal wines of Aklan Cellar are created in cooperation with herb expert Ferenc Takács from Zánka – the aim is to revive and reinterpret culinary and herbal practices. The herbs are not only used for the wines, but also for homemade, herbal wine vinegar. Fans of more traditional flavors will also be able to quench their thirst here: Aklan’s wines include popular varieties like Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Cserszegifűszeres, and Pinot gris. During the tasting sessions, guests can sample the best items paired with tasty snacks like homemade sausages and hams. In addition to the culinary delights, the cellar is also worth visiting because of the beautiful view and the friendly service.
