If you love the wines of Csopak, you definitely owe thanks to a Bishop and an economist. János Ranolder (the Bishop) built this winery in the mid-1800s and then István Jásdi (the economist) bought and reconstructed it in 1998. He built a modern terrace next to the cellar; whence you can admire the view of the eastern part of Balaton, while sipping the renowned wine of Jásdi Pincészet. If you're lucky you might even get to meet István Jásdi in person; his favorite pasttime is to sit down and share his stories. You might want to try your hand at lottery, if you happen to bump into István’s son, Attila Jásdi as well, for sometimes he cooks a few dishes to go with the wines and as rumours have it, these are incredible.
