You'll meet the inviting sign of Söptei Csárda above Csopak, in the direction of Arács. You cannot see the building from the road, and don't be disheartened by the diverse signs and parking lots along the way: the 2-minute climb is definitely worth it. Once you reach the shady terrace and sit down on one of the benches facing the Lake, the view will make you forget to order.
The strength of the Csárda lies in dishes for advance order, like the plate of pork and veal trotters, duck or carp for 4, which has to be ordered 24 hours in advance.
Söptei is a family winery, the restaurant is only an addition, so be sure to have a Welschriesling fröccs while you browse the traditional dishes on the menu. We highly recommend the delicious appetizers after a long walk.
