Located on the Csopak hillside with a splendid view of Kerekedi Bay, the Szent Donát Estate is the combination of a small winery and an exclusive restaurant. The wines produced by the winery are served mainly in the restaurant. The estate has a slightly bizarre hall available for events, which looks like the knights' hall of a medieval castle with gothic vaults, a fireplace and a secret door. MÁRGA Bistro, the huge panorama terrace which opened in spring 2015 based on a brand new concept, is also to be found here. The scenic view comes with a premium menu and loveable, no-frills cuisine built on local ingredients. The kitchen is run by János Deli, the former chef of MÁK bistro.
The vineyards used by the winery are situated in Csopak, Paloznak and Tihany, and cover 7 hectares. All wines are made from the winery’s own grapes, with every step of the production happening at the Csopak estate. Around 25,000-30,000 bottles are produced annually.
