ARTplacc contemporary art festival in Tihany. Contemporary art in bikini. Starting from 16th August, you can bump into ARTplacc all over Tihany Peninsula in different spots. If you thought contemporary art was only about weird lines and colours mixed with nonfigurative objects, which can only be seen in fancy air-conditioned galleries through hipster glasses, with a glass of overpriced wine in the hand, then give Tihany a shot. The art programs will be followed by Volkova Sisters and The Qualitons.

B. My Lake, Balatonaliga. Fidel Castro and Yuri Gagarin used to enjoy Hungarian hospitality here, but now the overexcited youth will rule the place for three days and boogie to serious electronic music. Nowadays Balaton Sound Festival is taking the direction of more popular tunes, so it's time for someone else to take minimal techno's lead, and B. My Lake will do that. Don't look for David Guetta and his mates, because you'll find them nowhere in Club Aliga from 18th until 20th August.

LGT Tabán, Alsóörs. The veterans of Hungarian rock music have ended their career many times with grand, smoky goodbye concerts. It is never serious though, because they return from time to time in order to present another grand, smoky goodbye concert. Locomotiv GT (Gran Turismo) will put on a show on the North Coast of Balaton this time. There's nothing wrong with that, because their songs are still catchy and entertaining for every generation. On 18th August the LGT-party will be on all day long at Európa Kemping in Alsóörs.
Leslie Mandoki & Soulmates, Siófok. If Tommy Erdelyi, the founder of the Ramones is the most influential Hungarian icon in rock music, then Leslie Mandoki must be in 2nd place. Unfortunately, the Hungarian dbo lost his trail at Dschinghis Khan. The chevron moustache is still the same, but legendary icons of rock music replaced the Mongolian disco style. The veterans still know the real deal, and they will flash their talents to Siófok under the name Soulmates. Leslie Mandoki and his friends will take Siófoki Szabadtéri színpad (open-air stage) on 19th August.
