Taking place in Balatonakarattya this July, Europe’s first recycling festival called Everness Festival will feature more than 600 events. Also referred to as the Celebration of Awareness, the gathering is unique for various reasons: all plastic, paper and organic waste generated on the festival site will be recycled.

Green solutions

The organizers of Everness put special emphasis on spreading awareness, among others environmental awareness, in as many fields as possible. Showers on the festival grounds are all operated by solar panels, and all vehicles will be electric. Festivalgoers will get the chance to find out about alternative building solutions and eco-friendly tips and tricks, and can admire the Nissan Leaf and the legendary Tesla.

A wide variety of programs fitting the sustainable future label will be on the festival agenda: talks and workshops about a toxin-free home and “clean” beauty products will be organized, while visitors can also unwind with games related to selective garbage collection, calculate their ecological footprint, and get an insight into how an earthship, a kind of passive house, is built with the help of Earthship Hungary.

Speakers

Awareness and the selfness feeling are synonymous with excellent talks, music, exercise and the ecstasy of colours, flavours and fragrances. For an unforgettable five days festivalgoers will come together in the spirit of positive thinking and healthy living on a Balaton beach offering one of the most spectacular views to relax, recharge and broaden their knowledge with forms of exercise from all over the world, art, personal growth opportunities, environmental consciousness, health-related events and tasty food.

Like the organizers of the festival, invited speakers all identify with the festival’s spirit and message. All of them are staunch advocates of a conscious and healthy lifestyle in their own fields: their ranks include seasoned and acclaimed experts on nutrition, exercise, the healing of body and soul, music and fine arts.

All age groups from the smallest to the wisest will have a versatile selection of programs to choose from at the festival. During the course of the entire event, conscientious childminders and animators will ensure that parents can enjoy themselves without the stress of keeping track of their kids. The list is far from being complete, the festival website is being regularly updated with the latest information and line-up additions.

Location

Located in Balatonkenese, Part Üdülő will host the six-hectare festival site with all its programs and accommodation spots. With a private festival beach at their disposal, festivalgoers can enjoy the water and the sunshine undisturbed. Fire pits, sandy hangout areas with sunloungers, playgrounds as well as bicycle, pedal boat and rowboat rentals further enhance the versatility of the program selection. Slacklining and SUP will once again be featured in the schedule, and visitors will also be able to take part in a live excavation.

Visiting Lake Balaton in the first week of July with kids of all ages in tow will be an opportunity not to be missed, so that the whole family can recharge, unwind and learn together at Europe’s first recycling festival.
