After the recent inauguration of Hotel Füred, the elegant lakeside resort will soon offer four-star accommodation at the new facility featuring about 200 rooms, two presidential suites, and a luxurious wellness department.

The newest four-star hotel of Balatonfüred, Hotel Füred was inaugurated following a period of renovation lasting approximately two years. It was revealed during the official inauguration ceremony that the cost of the investment came up to a total of 4.6 billion forints. While this article is illustrated with images borrowed from the website of Hotel Füred, we’ll soon drop by to snap a few shots ourselves to show you what it all looks like inside.

Renovation works began in May 2014, and in just two weeks – on May 1 – Hotel Füred will start welcoming guests at its lavish facility, according to the announcement on the hotel’s website. When János Czigle, the owner of Balatonfüred-based Flamingó Hotel, bought the former holiday resort of the National Council of Trade Unions (SZOT), he received government subsidy to the tune of 1.6 billion forints to realize the grand project.

The prices are fully in line with four-star standards: in high season a double room with a view will cost 59,700 HUF/night for two people. Regular suites will be priced at 100,000 HUF, while the presidential suite – which is absolutely one of a kind around Lake Balaton – will be offered for a price of 280,000 HUF/night.

Launched at the end of March, the hotel’s website contains the least amount of information on the on-site restaurant. The person of the chef is unknown as of yet; all we were able to gather is that he or she will have to run a 300-seat eatery, which sounds like quite a big challenge indeed.

Instead of pictures, the website currently features digital renderings of everything from the rooms, suites, and the gym all the way to the exterior of the entrance.

Among the images depicting the wellness department, we found some real photos as well as digital drawings, and at this point we have a hard time telling what visitors will actually see inside.

The pictures of the two presidential suites come from the website of an Italian furniture manufacturing company. We contacted the hotel via email to enquire about the reason the photos were chosen, and we were told that “the images have been borrowed, as the construction of the hotel is still underway”.

The huge hotel will have a total of 195 rooms, and the 3,000-square meter wellness area will be open to the public – single day tickets for adults will cost 6,000 forints. The above-average price range leads us to believe that this part of the hotel will be abundant in truly sensational services.
