Balaton Uplands National Park, Tihany

Tihany Lavender Festival is probably the best-known event when it comes to these plants. Here you can pick your own between June 15 and 22 after purchasing a harvest bag for 1,500 or 2,500 forints. There’s no entry fee.

Dörgicse Levendarium

Lavendarium in Dörgicse opens its gates for those who wish to pick lavender on June 23. On Lavender Day, you can participate in a guided tour around the garden, see how lavender is distilled, plus enjoy a vegan lunch and concerts. Admission is 2,500 forints, children, student and seniors are charged 1,500 forints. The price for a harvest bag is 1,500 forints.

Hazai Provence - Kapolcs

Hazai Provence organises its Lavender Festival on the estate between 10am and 7pm on July 15. Besides picking your own flowers, you can also enjoy culinary specialities, handcrafted products and other accompanying events. Entry is free of charge.

Kőröshegy

You can pick lavender on the slopes of Kőröshegy between 10am and 5pm every day throughout the month of June. Harvest bags are priced between 1,000 and 4,500 forints charged on-site, along with an entry fee of 1,000 forints.

Szent Balázs-hegyi Lavender Field, Balatoncsicsó

You can freely harvest lavender in Balatoncsicsó between June 15 and 17, and 22 and 24, and from June 29 to July 1. You can fill a bag for 1,000 forints or a basket for 3,000 forints – and buy a whole bush for 5,000 forints.
