One of the most famous figures among the cheesemakers of the Balaton Uplands is Viktória Pettenkoffer. Her family moved to Bácshegy’s nomadic conditions from Budapest, and bought their first goat only because they wanted to give fresh milk to their smallest child. They then made cheese from the remaining milk, and gradually started a cheese workshop.

The family makes thyme cheese, lavender cheese, urda cheese and goat's milk yogurt, all of which are available for purchase at the market of Káptalantóti every Sunday morning. The manufactory makes its legendary goat cheese mozzarella exclusively for Kővirág Restaurant.
