Great restaurants were already lining up in Balatonfüred: Első Füredi Sörház (translates as “First Beer House of Füred”) is now among within the gastropub category of these. Besides their own brews they also have other Balaton-beers, and the menu is adjusted to the beers with traditional, Hungarian-cuisine items, and more adventurous creations like toothfish or beef neck.
We can also stop by for some beers and skip the lunch or dinner – most guests do so – but with the strong, 6-7% alcohol content, we quickly start craving a roasted pork belly. The latter is, for some reason, served in a soup plate, but that’s all right.
