Alsóbélatelep is known all over Fonyód because of its romantic setting; it’s no wonder that Huszka Street Public Beach is regarded as one of the most atmospheric places in town by the people living there.
The tiny beach, which is not particularly well known, was last renovated in 2005, but its current state absolutely justifies the enthusiasm of the local residents – in the past decade it was deemed excellent on two occasions by the Movement for a Flowery Balaton.
The grassy beach features a food stand and a playground. The water is really shallow, which is fantastic news for the little ones.
Tip: There’s a free parking lot with 20 spots off neighboring Huszka utca.
