Zalaszántó is a favourite destination among hikers, and if you find yourself in the area, make sure to visit the Kotsy Watermill. Today the beautifully renovated building functions as a museum, but a mill operated here as early as the time of the Turkish invasion. The interactive exhibition features a working model of the mill, as well as various tools and accessories related to milling. If you’re not that interested in the technical aspect of things, you can still enjoy the romantic memories of days past.
