Far from the buzzing centre of Révfülöp, up on the hill stands the Mákvirág estate. It was named after the prodigal sons of the one-time owner (mákvirág is an endearing term for persons that deserve to be reproached).

The centennial wine cellar awaits guests with Mákvirág's own wine. In the summer, the meat specialties and the wines are served in the garden, in winter, you can consume them in the press house. Sitting in the rose-trimmed garden, you can't help but feel empathy towards the Mákvirág-boys. The intoxicating smell of flowers and a glass of white wine will make you want to stay forever to do nothing but enjoy the chirping of the birds and the tranquility of the place.

The Mákvirág Wine House and Restaurant is open all-year for lunch, dinner and  wine tastings. Pre-booking is mandatory. Their cellar is one of the certified stops of the Balaton Wine Road.
