Platán Public Beach in Örvényes operates on the principle of “small but sufficient”, located next to the dirt road leading off main road 71. While it’s rather secluded, the beach is also cozy, peaceful and most importantly, uncrowded.

As mentioned above, Platán has it all: a buffet named Vadkacsa with pancakes, lángos and one-course dishes is high season, a sandpit and slides for the children and various sports fields (waterpolo gates, volleyball, table tennis). Visitors can rent pedal boats and kayaks, or can learn how to surf; however, the most valuable quality of the beach must be the beautiful view of the Tihany Peninsula and the southern coast.

Tip: The beach has a beautiful, shady line of trees and a footballtennis court, as well.
