The remaining walls of the Árpád-era Rezi Castle tower on one of the protruding vertices of Keszthely-hegység (Keszthely Hills). Since they were erected eight centuries ago, the walls have seen many adventures, wars and conflicts, despite the small castle never having any strategic importance.

Official documents only mention the castle as ruins ever since the 16th century, and archaeological excavations below the crumbling walls have only started recently. On a clear day you can even see Sümeg Castle from here. The study trail, that also goes through the castle, will help you learn more about the local nature and history.
