Built in the 1770s, this Jesuit church is one of the most beautiful monuments of Balatonalmádi. The frescos inside depict the main events in the life of Jesuit Order founder Ignatius of Loyola.
The stunning baroque church is not the only Christianity-related attraction in Almádi: if you’re in the area, make sure to visit the Szent Jobb Chapel where a fragment of Saint Stephen’s relic is held, or the fortified church that was surrounded with a fence by the congregation of the Reformed Church to keep Christians out.
