The elegant building of Tulipán Café, located in Keszthely’s quiet, peaceful, linden-scented suburb, started out as hotel in the beginning of the previous century – the area belonged to Gyenesdiás back then.

Today, with the expensive leather and wooden furniture and the high prices, this is a place to come to on special occasions. The selection is wide: they bake the desserts here (the best to try is the Rákóczi-style curd cheese square – it’s light and not too sweet), however, the ice cream and the coffee aren’t the best, but at least they’re Italian.

For late afternoons, we would recommend wines, specialty champagnes, or a freshly tapped wheat beer with the various dips and snacks.

Tip: We can sit under the canopy of trees on the terrace for a long time, and feel like time has stopped.
