We would recommend Pálos Resort guesthouse, a family business, to those who truly want to get away from the bustling city, yet they aren’t into the usual wellness hotels. An extra bed can be fitted into the double rooms, and camping is also possible. They offer multiple programs, from kayaking and bicycletours to bird and wildlife observation tours. Their wine bar is a certified “Four Cup” station of the Zala Wine Route Association, where we can not only taste delicious wines, but also food from local producers of Zala.
Tip: The area, that used to belong to the Pauline Fathers, was one of Ferenc Deák’s favorite tour spots, and there are numerous trails starting from here, like the Örvényes round tour (approximately 40 minutes long), or the bit longer, 3 kilometers long Ligetfalva tour; we can also tour to the Round Church in Kallósd, which is almost 13 kilometers away. We can learn about the recommended routes by scanning the QR codes at the starting point.
