Paloznak Jazz Picnic started out small but has grown considerably over the years, bringing world-class acts such as Jamie Cullum to this modest Balaton village. This year’s festival sets the bar even higher, with Maceo Parker and The Jacksons both confirmed.
The line-ups for Balaton’s summer festivals in 2019 are slowly taking shape, with the STRAND Festival, VeszprémFest and Balaton Sound already confirming some of their headliners. Paloznak Jazz Picnic just joined them by announcing their top international acts for the event that will take place from August 1 to 3.
The Jacksons will headline the jazz festival, coming to these shores following appearances in London, Paris and Brussels to celebrate their 55th anniversary. The brothers of Michael Jackson will also pay tribute to their sibling who passed away ten years ago.
Maceo Parker, saxophonist with James Brown and Parliament-Funkadelic, will also take the stage during the festival, as will acid jazz group, The Brand New Heavies, and Dutch duo, Adani&Wolf, who mix world music with jazz and swing.
Tickets are already available on the festival’s website.
