Follow the blue and green trail blazes from the Jókai Lookout Towerin Balatonfüred to reach the Koloska-völgy and the Koloska fountain. If there is no drought, you'll also find a small pond in front of the stone-framed fountainhead.
The plains above the city are covered by distinctive sub-Mediterranean karst forests, and small streams run along the local valleys towards Lake Balaton - these were used to power water mills until the beginning of the 20th century.
Once you're in Koloska-völgy, visit theWildlife Park, which is open all-year-round whatever the weather conditions may be, and the entry is free. The park showcases the country’s wild animals in their natural habitat.
