Hungarikum wine show, Keszthely

In the Balaton Theatre in Keszthely,you can taste 100 types of wine (made of 60 grape variations) on Saturday night. This is a pretty straightforward offer, but there's more! The wines in question are made of grape varieties that originate from Hungary or were cross-bred in Hungary - and some of them are not even available commercially. The wine tasting will be accompanied by music: performed, among others, by the Cimbaliband.

Brains, Péterfy Bori, DJ Palotai, Veszprém

On 29 November, Brains will be responsible for the riddim in the Expresszó, VeszprémThis event, however, is already sold out.  The day after, Bori Péterfy and her band take the stage at the same venue. Following their act, the oldie of the Hungarian DJ profession, DJ Palotai will spin the records. The recently reopened Expresszó has been bringing you the popular bands of Hungarian pop music non-stop. If you are tuned to Radio Petőfi, you should follow this club's concert menu.

The heart of Mozart, Veszprém

Parallel to Bori Péterfy Bor, another renowned composer, Mozart will also be in the spotlight in Veszprém. The dance opera in one act - The Heart of Mozart (Bastien and Bastienne) is based on the music of the Viennese master and on a coreography by György Krámer. The Pannon Várszínház will replay the show several times in the following weeks, so if you happen to choose Bori Péterfy's concert on saturday, you can still see the dance performance later.

Run-hike, Balaton-felvidék

Clear, cold days are excellent for hiking and the hills and valleys of the Balaton-felvidék, full of church ruins offer an excellent hiking spot. These two come together as one in the form of a 30-km hike on Sunday, which starts out from the Zizi Pizzeria in Zánka at 7:30. The route ends in the very same spot, but not before touching Hegyestű and numerous church ruins.

Csernus exhibition, Tihany

The Balaton-felvidék has always been popular with artists, hence the exhibitions of the region, worthy of a metropolis. The Kogart Art Galleryfrom Budapest has recently opened a branch in Tihanyin a building which has newish looking old parts and oldish looking new parts. Their exhibitions are also worth a look. Painter Tibor Csernus has been known and renown around the world for his paintings. In the mean time,he also designed covers for sci-fis,crime stories and other books in Paris. These works of art are now exhibited in the Kogart House, right at the feet of the Tihany Abbey.

Pál Rókusfalvy and a chat with wine, Balatonfüred

Pál Rókusfalvy used to be a radio personality and now he is a winemaker, thus talking about wines will probably come easy to him. He will exhibit this skill in the Kredenc Wine Bistro (Balatonfüred), where he will engage the audience in conversation about wines, rural tourism and so on. The informal nature of the chat will be guaranteed by the wines and hams of the Rókusfalvy Estate. Reservation recommended!
