This year's "summer season" started with the events of Open Balaton last weekend. Already on 1 May, one could hardly advance towards Lake Balaton on the highway.

Yoga in Balatonföldvár. The first (long) weekend of the program series that ends on 11 May managed to make a lot of people move, in every sense of the word.

Quite a number of people set out to cycle around the Lake or to complete smaller distances from Balatonföldvár in the frame of the Bringamánia BalatonRound. The bikers did not seem bothered by the storm that arrived in the meantime.

Many of you attended We Love Balaton's 18+ sightseeing stroll in Balatonfüred, too, where literary historian Mihály Praznovszky entertained the crowd with confidential details of the private life of Mór Jókai and the 19th century Balatonfüred.

Even the water was warm enough for a fast dipping - at least until the storm arrived.

In addition to the Balaton round, there were also several other, shorter and more intimate cycle tours through the settlements of west Balaton, and the hilly backdrop of Siófok and Zamárdi.

The Keszthelyi-hegység is always a great place for a hike, no matter if you want to pick ramsons or herbs, or if you go by bike or on foot. There were guided tours to the hills during the long weekend.
