Krtek Dances to Punnany Massif - Weekly Programme Guide (20/Nov - 23/Nov)

Veszprém will bring you Punnany Massif on Friday and Tankcsapda on Saturday, but there will be plenty more weekend fun around Lake Balaton. Hiking is always an option, just bring your coat; the lookout towers stay open; and you can also run into a Czechoslovakian cartoon character.

FRIDAY

Punnany Massif - Veszprém (21/Nov)

Press P for Punnany Massif and Party! In the frame of its new tour, the Pécs-based hip-hop daredevils of Hungarian underground, Punnany Massif plays in the Expresszó on Friday. One of the favourite live bands of the country brings the songs of the brand new album Fel#2 to Veszprém. You can also sIng along to their hit, Élvezd! live for 2000 HUF.

The Krtek Exhbition was opened almost a week ago at the Balatonfüred City Library. If the Czech mole was (or is) part of your childhood, the travelling exhibition of the Czech Centre will conquest of certainly make you feel at home. At the exhibition illustrating the conquest of Zdeněk Miler's lovely little critter you can also buy Krtek memorabilia. Ahoj, Krtek!

Speaking of critters, let's not forget nature itself: the European Week for Waste Reduction raising awareness for the prevention, reduction and recycling of waste begins this week as well.

Tankcsapda - Veszprém (22/Nov)

One of the most popular and successful rock bands today with best-selling albums and lyrics sung by generations. Now, unfortunately this is not a teaser for a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Hungary, but we still have a great conciliation in Tankcsapda. The band entertains its head-banging crowds with the 25th anniversary tour, in the frame of which they visit Veszprém and the Expresszó. In addition to their evergreens, they will also perform songs from last year's album, Igaz hiénák.

MKB-MVM Veszprém vs. HC Vardar Skopje - Veszprém (22/Nov)

Veszprém's handball fans are forever eagerly anticipating the next game, and their arena is famous Europe-wide for the great atmosphere and the loyalty of fans. Saturday brings a clash of Titans in the 6th round of the Champions League group matches: the unbeaten MKB Veszprém meets the runner-up HC Vardar Skopje. Don't forget your Veszprém scarf and join the fiesta!
