On 16-20 June the Tihany Lavender Festival took place for the tenth time in the cosy Balaton town boasting a unique microclimate. We checked it out, tasted everything worth tasting and compiled a gallery of pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Visitors to the Tihany Lavender Festival were invited to enjoy the fairy tale location of Tihany for the tenth time. And enjoy we did: we tried lavender honey, we saw how lavender oil is distilled, and we attended a crafts workshop at the Levendula Ház (Lavender House). The weekend had many more programs, concerts and delectable treats in store, but the lavender reaping in itself can make a visit worthwhile: an experience straight out of a fairy tale with the orange sun disappearing behind the Sajkod skyline.
