It'll be Steve Aoki's first time at Strand Festival, and there will be a punk band usually mentioned on the same page as Blink. Plus, you can hear every Hungarian act from Róbert Bérczesi through Bori Péterfy to Fluor Tomi that you can't avoid if you listen to Petofi Radio for a few hours.
This morning, the following artists were confirmed for Strand Festival:
- Steve Aoki
- Simple Plan
- All Time Low
- New Found Glory
Steve Aoki needs no introduction: he is the American DJ who loves to to throw cakes at the first few rows of people at his concerts - or shower them in champagne. He was placed second on the DJMAG dj top list in 2013. The line-up also includes the Canadian rock band, Simple Plan, a pop punk band grown from a Baltimore high school band, All Time Low, and New Found Glory often compared to Blink 182.
There are no surprises considering Hungarian acts: in addition to the 10 bands announced earlier, other names fro Petofi Radio's selection have also been confirmed, such as Ivan & The Parazol, Quimby, Hiperkarma, Irie Maffia, and Wellhello.
This year's Strand Festival will take place between 19 and 22 August, yet again in Zamárdi. Something is still different this time round: B.my.Lake will take place simultaneously, also in Zamárdi.
