With Balaton Sound, the STRAND Festival, B.my.Lake and now the Red Bull Air Race, it's looking like Zamárdi will be a-buzz all summer.
Zamárdi will host the popular Red Bull Air Race on July 13 and 14. The event failed to receive the necessary permit from Budapest’s mayor this year, hence the relocation. Keszthely and Fonyód were also in the frame as potential hosts, but Zamárdi's track record in staging major gatherings got it over the line. This means that the town expects to see a bumper crowd the weekend after Balaton Sound, also taking place here.
According to a press release from Red Bull, all tickets for the Budapest event will be fully refunded by the original vendors, while new sales channels for the Balaton event will be announced soon.
New top acts confirmed for STRAND Festival
The weekend of August 20 will be another busy one in Zamárdi, as the STRAND Festival and B.my.Lake both take place on its public beach then.
The organisers of the STRAND Festival recently announced more confirmations, including the popular American DJ Steve Aoki, DJ sets from Modestep and Sigma, as well as the French DJ Ofenbach. Previously announced top acts include John Newman, Bastille and Anne-Marie.
