Zalacsány has everything you need for a memorable festival: a beautiful setting, internationally acclaimed acts and popular Hungarian performers. The second Örvényeshegy Piknik will take place from May 24 to 26. Italian soul star Mario Biondi takes the stage on opening day.
Hidden amid the gorgeous green hills of Zala County, Zalacsány enjoyed great success with its inaugural Örvényeshegy Piknik in 2018, matching a great line-up with literary and music events.
This year’s event looks even more promising: organisers have lined up Mario Biondi, known for his big hit, This Is What You Are. He cleverly mixes soul, blues, R&B and jazz, earning comparisons to the great American soul singers. Biondi has already played at Balaton, at the Paloznak Jazz Picnic in in 2017. He returns here on May 24 to play this Piknik, 20 minutes from Keszthely.
