The Homola Winery organises the Paloznak Jazz Picnic, one of Hungary's cosiest festivals. Four stages, 33 performers, as well as stellar Csopak wines and culinary specialities await visitors to Balaton's north shore between August 1 and 3.
The concept came from Szabolcs Homola and Orsolya Valde, who wanted to create a festival that stood out from its peers, and so they chose to bring a barefoot, stargazing vibe to this small village of 500 people. Although the location is modest, the performers coming to Paloznak are pretty major, including The Jacksons and Rick Astley.
Other international acts include The Brand New Heavies, Silhouette & Vinx, Maceo Parker and Adani&Wolf, while the Hungarian jazz scene will be represented by Écska&Hubs, Postmodern Songbook, Szilár Piano Projekt, Little G Weevil, Veraszívem, Apey, Four Seasons and Márton Hangácsi, just to name a few.
The festival’s official anthem is Peet Project’s song On My Way, which you can listen to here:
