It’s looking to be another bumper weekend at Lake Balaton, with smaller events and gatherings now allowed and a dozen outstanding attractions opened around the Balaton Uplands National Park.

The summer schedule of Hungarian state rail MÁV is now in force, with 51 InterCity services heading for the lake every day. A fast train, the Jégmadár, will be running from Budapest Keleti to the south shore, while the Tekergő heads for the north shore from Kőbánya-Kispest.
