The most prestigious summer event of Balatonfüredi, the Anna Bál (Anna Ball) will be held for the 190th time in 2015.

The first Anna-ball was held on July 26, 1825 in Balatonfüred by Fülöp János Szentgyörgyi-Horváth for his daughter Anna-Krisztina.
Since the first ball, the Anna-ball has been held annually, on the Saturday closest to Anna Day. It has always been among the most prestigious balls in Hungary, drawing guests from among the most notable artists and politicians.
Accompanying events
The ball is accompanied by several miscellaneous events, like the Balaton heart fishing, held on the Friday preceding the ball. Wooden hearts are thrown into the Lake from aboard a decorated boat, and guests have to fish them out and find their pair.
On the day of the ball, the Belle of the Ball is taken around town in a chaise. On the Móló Stage, there are preiod shows and dances, at 18:30 the City Concert Wind Band plays in Gyógy Square. At 21:00, a street dance begins with live broadcast of the Ball itself.
On the day after the Ball, the Belle and the runner-ups are introduced to the public on the Móló Stage. then are taken around town in a chaise, accompanied by hussars.
