A new jewel on the Hungarian festival scene, the Bondoró Street Theatre Festival in Kapolcs kicks off with fun and colourful attractions. The event, characterising itself as a cheerful cavalcade, awaits visitors with the exciting world of street theatre for three days in six different locations, starting on 28 August. There will be men walking on stilts, acrobats and modern circus formations, as well as fire shows, puppet shows and clowns entertaining the crowd. The Bab Társulat (Puppet Company) will make fantastic beasts to take over the town, Bence Sarkadi performs with his globe-trotting marionettes, and the fun-costumed Langaléta Garabonciások and the Boka Gábor Theatre also appear. In addition, plays by Papito and the Kajárpéci Vízirevü, the Tűzmadarak circus group, Mágustones and the Kreativ Kráter Kör will also enhance the atmosphere, while the Szabó Balázs Band will be telling amazing stories through music. Other musical performances include concerts by the Guča Partyzans Brass Band, Firkin, Cimbaliband and Zuboly. Krisztián Grecsó and Róbert Hrutka are planning something special for the occasion, followed by the closing performance on Sunday, with Müller Péter Sziámi And Friends featuring Oláh Gipsy Beat. Discounted and advance family tickets are available on the festival website.
