The tiny boat stop of Alsóörs on the north shore is one of the official stops of the Balaton Shipping Company. While it’s not one of the busiest ports, in the summer season ships are scheduled to leave hourly for Füred, Siófok, Tihany, Csopak, Balatonalmádi, Kenese, and Aliga. Regular and kids’ cruise ships, as well as retro disco ships are also available. There’s room for two bigger boats at the top of the pier, and for 30 guest vessels along the western side. Keep in mind that the boat stop is not protected against southwesterly winds.
Tip: The pier is not only an ideal spot for a boat ride, but also for a pleasant stroll on a warm summer evening.
