If you want to avoid the crowds then the beach of Balatonedericsi is definitely a good choice. Here you’ll mostly bump into returning guests, and locals playing cards of beach volleyball.
The lake bed deepens continuously, there's plenty of shade, there's a playground, and you can rent paddle boats as well, so it’s the perfect beach for families with kids. The view is wonderful from the shore, but if you swim a little further in, you can even see the domes of the solitary hills.
Tip: There are bike sheds next to the renewed entrance. Parking is free on the premises, and the beach is only about a 15 minutes long walk from the train station.
