Balaton-Füredi Yacht Egylet, the predecessor of Balatonfüredi Yacht Club, the first yacht association in Hungary, and one of the oldest sports clubs in Europe, was founded in 1867 by a group of Hungarian lords who had all visited England on their travels abroad.
Most of the association’s current members often participate in races, and the club puts great emphasis on youth training to keep that trend going. Balatonfüredi Yacht Club has other services for its guests: there are 86 berths, a buffet, a comfortable terrace, a club room, a gym and more.
Tip: You can rent a sailboat at the dock if you don’t have your own ship.
