Named after renowned Hungarian poet János Batsányi, the observation tower is located on 448-meter Boncsostető, the very top of Balatongyörök’s Pap-hegy. The tower, which was restored by the forestry department of the Keszthely municipality in 2003, enjoys an exceptional view of the Balaton Uplands.

Here’s a top tip: You can access the tower from Balatongyörök by following the S, S+ and S triangle signs. Several other observation towers are found in the surrounding area, including Bél Mátyás Observation Tower, Padkő observation tower, and Szépkilátó.
