Those who have been to Fonyód before will know that it arguably has the highest number of public beaches around Balaton. A possible explanation for this could be the beautiful view of Badacsony – here you can get the the hill's best view from the south shore.
Bélatelep Public Beach is unique because Nosztalgia, one of Balaton’s best ice cream shops, is located nearby, selling divine fruity treats without any kind of flavor enhancers, and because the water here is almost as deep as on the north shore. The beach is extremely popular in high season, which means it can get quite crowded.
