The Fövenyes Beach is located in the Fövenyes part of Balatonudvari, at the end of Strand utca. The one-time legendary public beach of the north shore was revamped in 2014 and has been a paying beach since then. The facilities at the beach include a playground, free parking, a bicycle parking station, a beach volleyball court, and a football tennis court.
From among the eateries, our favorite is the Vén Kalóz Pizzeria and Food Bar. Pop in after a day of swimming and sunbathing to check out their open-view grill kitchen and try their hake, hamburger, or divine stew simmering away in a cauldron. From their homemade cordials, we’d pick the rose flavored one anytime – the ingredients come directly from the Káptalantóti Market, which means that premium quality is always guaranteed. Sip on these tasty artisan drinks while sitting on the pallet furniture decked out in colorful cushions and admire Lake Balaton from there.
Tip: Once you are done at the beach, don’t leave just yet. There’s no better way to round off the evening than watching a movie at what we think is the coziest outdoor cinema around Lake Balaton, a two-minute walk from the beach.
