Kistücsök is the star restaurant of Balaton. Balázs Csapody's restaurant opened more than 20 years ago on the south shore, in the center of Balatonszemes, near main road 7. It started out as an old-fashioned restaurant, but in the then it has become one of the most famous restaurants in Balaton and in the whole country and has managed to preserve the intimate atmosphere of small eateries. The interior is a mix between modern minimalism and the early 20th century's style without mannered plaster decorations. The menu offers traditional dishes inspired by the cuisine of Somogy County and specialties that are available as a degustation menu, too.
Balázs Csapody is an enthusiastic boss and host, paying attention to every detail. He greets the guests, supervises the kitchen, and ensures that everything's going smoothly at the tables. When he's not exploring the local markets, farmers and manufacturers, he gathers hot tips and inspiration in the kitchens of the best chefs of the world. His team is also renowned within the profession: their chef’s deputy, Ádám Pohner won the finals of the Hungarian Bocuse d'Or in 2018.
