Founded by Lajos Szabó in 2012, the lavender farm of the south shore grows the Tihany-native dark purple lavender, and the lighter, French species on many hectares. You can pick lavender here all through June and make bouquets tied with various colorful ribbons. They make lavender oil, specialty lavender syrup, lavender-stuffed fish and bunnies. The way Lake Balaton’s blue shimmers below the dense, purple lavender field is one of the most beautiful views of the south shore.
