Kővári Kecskefarm is one of the few goat farms that are open to visitors – you can drop by even without making an appointment in advance.
You can purchase various locally made goat cheeses as well as mangalica sausages. You can freely walk around the farm, just keep in mind that this isn’t a petting zoo. There are almost five hundred animals here, including goats, mangalica pigs and rare chicken breeds.
The Kővári family left their teaching jobs to start this new lifestyle. They made their first goat cheese more than 15 years ago and nowadays they produce about 20 kilograms of it a day. The products are only available for purchase in their shop, along with jams and various meats. You can also get these at the market of Káptalantóti.
Tip: If you just want to see animals, visit the nearby manor of Salföld instead.
