The Kvassay Promenade of Balatonföldvár is the little brother of the Tagore Promande of Balatonfüred. The most famous promenade of the south shore begins at the Csigaház Restaurant, which is found in the building of the Balatonföldvár boat stop. The 1.2-km-long promenade runs between slanted plane trees. The Fesztivál tér, a popular event venue, is situated in the middle of the promenade. Here stands the statue of the Fisherboy, searching the waters with his gaze.

Balatonföldvár used to be a popular holiday destination for aristocrats, and the promenade is lined with their villas. The promenade, which is also a shoreline protection system, was the idea of water engineer Jenő Kvassay in the 19th century, and was later named after him.
