The appearance and atmosphere of Mala Garden**** is significantly different from its neighbors’ in Siófok, as its mixes minimalist architecture with Balinese decorative elements in an elegant way. Its eight rooms and four suites were built directly on the waterfront, so during summer, you can enjoy the view of Lake Balaton from the terrace, while you can do the same from behind the huge windows in winter.

Balaton pizzerias and trattorias are a dime a dozen these days, unlike the representatives of Asian cuisine. The chefs of the Siófok-based Mala Garden fry Thai noodles all year round. However, the Eastern-inspired hotel-restaurant is in fact much more about global flavors. The fact that the menu combines various influences (Mexican, Hungarian, Thai), and the design is inspired by the East doesn’t mean that the place looks like a shabby incense shop; instead, the restaurant has a mellow vibe. Those who crave some culinary delights following a sauna session or a Thai massage, can taste hand-made confectionery specialties at the café.
