“There is no other scenery in Europe like this!” - wrote geographer Jenő Cholnoky about the spectacular panorama of Sipos-hegy. His opinion is non-debatable, as this hilltop is the only spot offering a view of the entire Balaton, the largest lake of Central Europe, from Keszthely to Kenese.

This is where in 1987 the Hungarian Postal Service had a 15 metre-tall transmission tower built, which was referred to by the locals as “Postás-kilátó” for a long time. You can reach the tower on a nicely maintained walking path, and there is an exercise area in the nearby woods for more active hikers.

Tip: Take a look around here!
