Köveskál has many popular joints, but the Pálffy Wine Terrace, located on the western edge of the gastro village, is by far the best in one category. From the small hill rising next to the cellar building you can see the entire Káli-medence, flocks of sheep are grazing nearby and the rustic idyll deserves five starts for sure.

Their Rieslings and the Furmint go wonderfully with this setting, and the experience is further enhanced by bread and dripping and various bite-size snacks made from pork. This is the perfect place for a taste of the Káli-medence atmosphere. This is the perfect place for a taste of the Káli-medence atmosphere.

Tip: If you’re dropping by, ask them about their experience while planting new vineyards at Fekete-hegy and the abandoned wineries they found during the process.
