The whole coastline of Szántód, a place that’s often called the Northern gate of Somogy, is free to use via its two public beaches.
Next to Beach Party, the public beach of Rigó utca is one hectare large, so it’s among the more sizable beaches. Unfortunately the coast has no street lights, so we can only hang around the Lake until it gets dark.
Originally, this beach was a private area, and a favored spot among sailboats, but the owners changed in 2010, and after a large-scale landscaping project the area looks different now. Although almost every bit of the grass is touched by sunlight, the slowly growing trees give more and more shade every year.
