UPDATE: The local council purchased the building that housed Szigony, so it will leave the cellar by the beginning of April, 2019. They already have a new venue but the official opening will take place in June, as part of the Hell Vill #14 event. The farewell party will be held on March 30.
The pub opened its gates in downtown Veszprém, tucked away behind Petőfi Theater, in March 2016. The alternative cellar pub is exactly what you’d expect: an underground location adorned with graffiti, skateboards, longboards, and vinyl records on the walls.
Tip: They have a terrace in summer. Punk gigs and slam poetry events are held here on most weekends.
